Britannia Securities Limited (BSL) was added to the Britannia Financial Group family on June 2021. BSL brings to the group 2 main lines of business. Custody and Trading Solutions for Institutional investors and Wealth Management aimed at high net worth individuals.

Custody and Trading Solutions for Institutional Clients

Custody – BSL is self clearing at Euroclear. Euroclear Bank is one of the largest securities custodians in the world. The Euroclear relationship is a great asset. Not only it gives BSL a great array of services to offer its clients, it is also quite cumbersome and difficult to obtain. In order to capitalize on this relationship BSL offers to other institutions that otherwise would not have access to the Euroclear platform some of its products and capabilities as well. Here are a few examples: Global Fixed Income and Global Equity Clearing, Corporate Actions notices and executions,

securities transfers through FOP, DVP and RVP, deposit management, cash management and collateral management and securities lending.

Trading

Fixed Income: BSL has over 400 counterparties among clients and liquidity providers across the fixed income markets throughout the Americas and a few European and Asian counterparts. We are able to transact across the fixed income spectrum (US treasuries to Latam Corporate Credit Bonds (our main strength) providing clients competitive pricing inside the bid/offer spread. 

Equities: We can also offer competitive pricing on global equities execution. We have yet to market this service but we do make it available for clients upon request.

Structured Products: We have multiple providers of structured products, whom we place in competition to get aggressive pricing on newly issued notes. We are quite active on Equities and Credit Linked Notes.

Wealth Management For High Networth Individuals

BSL has been catering to high net worth individuals since it was founded in 1992. BSL looks for a holistic view of the clients portfolio to deliver solutions according to clients risk profile. With that in mind, BSL has always been actively searching for Wealth Management products to deliver to its client base. Among these products BSL offers execution across multiple product lines such as global equities, global fixed income, international mutual funds, foreign

exchange, derivatives, as well as, alternative products such as structured products, hedge funds and real estate funds. BSL also offers clients a discretionary management mandate, where we can manage clients through our custody as well as external custodians where we have special conditions for clients that choose to custody away from us while giving us the mandate on the portfolio.

Our Team

Jose Francisco Herrera, Andre Souza, Antonio Ferraz, Shinique Rolle, Alex Iferenta, Bernardo Amaral, Latique Gibson, Deshawn Rolle and Shatika Deveaux are BSL’s team members. So few, that we can name them all. But make no mistake, despite its size, BSL has cleared over 8.1B USD over 3,100 transactions so far this year. BSL is looking to increase its operations team as well as its front office team to keep up with its front line growth.
